rainy days meme
it's raining. it's raining so hard that you're stuck inside, because you're just not even going to chance venturing out there when it's so cozy in here.

at least you have company, right?

WHAT HAPPENS:
1. → you comment with your character.
2. → roll a number from 1-9. this is the activity the two of you seem to be in the middle of doing or just compelled to do.
3. → tag people and be merry.

THE NUMBERS
1 → board games. what it says on the tin. monopoly, connect four, whathaveyou. you suddenly feel really competitive.
2 → hide and seek. basically. one of you is It. how good are you at getting back to base?
3 → watching a movie. or anything else that involves you, the other person, and getting cozy under a blanket. god it's so warm why would you ever leave.
4 → baking. please don't burn anything down.
5 → arts and crafts. scrapbooking. paper snowflakes/turkeys/whatever. popsicle stick houses. if you made it when you were little and at summer camp, you're suddenly really really excited about doing it again! if only this other guy would quit hogging the glue.
6 → oops went outside anyway. wow you rebel. puddle away.
7 → cozy snack time. soup?? cocoa????? CHIPS??
8 → stuck. in the rain. too bad.
9 → whatever the hell you want. rng just can't contain all this rainy day EXCITEMENT. the only requirement is rain. you can even fuck in the rain, but you'll probably get sick.

[ She shrugs, but looks him in the face before nodding toward his cards. ]

[he looks at his cards again, and takes a second to arrange them in order.]

[ She does have a five, and forks it over. Myrcella opens her mouth to ask about sevens when suddenly the bell rings and - ]

Aw.

[ She deflates a little and looks at him with a pout. ]

We didn't get to finish the game!

[Bran looks pretty disappointed too. It doesn't help that he's totally starting to win.]

We'll have a rematch. I'll meet you here tomorrow at lunch?

If it's nice out do you want to go outside? We can use one of the chess tables.

[ lookit this prestigious school. chess tables in the elementary school. ]

[if Bran had ever been to a regular school he'd think it was ridiculous.]

Oh. I don't see why not? I don't usually go outside, but only because they don't want me having fun.

[ There's a promise in her little smile when she begins to gather up the cards. ]

[he smiles a little tentatively back at her, and passes over his hand of cards.]

Okay. Tomorrow.

[he is way more excited than he feels he should be to have a friend at school.]

[ The cards are not exactly organized but she gets them back in their pack before looking at him with wide eyes and a politely composed grin. ]

What is your next class?

Math. What about you?

[he is DEFINITELY NOT thinking of skipping, why would you suspect that?]

[ And they say Starks are honorable. ]

Languages. But that's close to math - do you want to go together?

[the only difference between the trouble Bran gets himself into and the trouble his brothers get themselves into is that Bran knows how to keep his trouble relatively secret.]

What are you learning now?

[he wheels himself to the door and opens it for Myrcella, because he was taught to always hold the door for girls (and everyone else).]

[ Oh he's one of the smart of the Stark kids, isn't he? She knows what that feels like, but... Hey, she only has Joffrey and Tommen to be compared to. And, aw, he's a gentleman, too. ]

We're reading To Kill A Mockingjay. And when Professor Varys' feels like it, he'll teach us in Spanish.

[ She laughs a little. ]

We haven't gotten to Spanish yet, either.

[he pulls himself through the door with one hand on the doorframe, and starts off down the hall at a pretty moderate pace.]

I had Professor Varys last year for French and Spanish, but I'm not taking languages this semester. He's... very interesting.

[Myrcella might notice that Bran is taking the absolute longest route to class.]

I like him.

[ No, really, he's quite the character. Always smells nice - none of that smelly stuff. ]

[ And notice? Of course. But she's not going to say anything so long as they're not late. ]

[Bran lingers by the back door - it would be so easy to ditch, and he's pretty sure nobody would even notice. This school is so private and fancy it doesn't even have a 20 foot chainlink fence around it.]

He's very good at Spanish.

[Bran doesn't 100% trust Professor Varys, but at least he's a pretty good teacher.]

He's good at everything.

[ Smart teachers come with private schools for high political leaders children. It's like a grooming institute - but for kids. ]

[ And it's fancy, oh yes yes. Full of dull students, however? No. ]

We better hurry. We'll both be late.

[Bran looks at Myrcella and raises his eyebrows.]

We don't have to go, you know.

We'd get in trouble if we skipped.

Not if they didn't find out. Nobody's around, we could say we had to leave early.
